An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a multinational, industry-leading organisation as a Senior Financial Accountant within their high-performing finance team. This initial 2-month contract offers potential for extension and is based in Macquarie Park, with flexible work-from-home arrangements. Operating within a well-known, ASX-listed business, this role sits in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can add immediate value.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the Financial Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Month end closing including the end of month journals posting, Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation, monthly management reporting and analysis.
- Responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the financial/management accounting information at all times and consistent with the general accounting standards, principles, and policies
- Maintain effective financial / management accounting controls and systems.
- Conducting variance analysis and assisting management in the review of operating expenses and efficiency
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
Ideally, you will be a fully qualified accounting professional, and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have strong Microsoft Excel skills, have experience working in a dynamic environment and possess a positive "can-do" work ethic. Working holiday VISA candidates with a Big 4 background are strongly preferred and encouraged to also apply.
