An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated accounts professional to join their team based in Melbourne's Western suburbs.
Position Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a small team, you will be responsible for:
- Executing international payments with accuracy, considering the complexities of various currencies
- Oversee financial transactions related to international trade
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Handling foreign exchange contracts and working with letters of credit
- Processing international invoices
- Handling queries and discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with international regulations
- Collaboratively participate in strategic planning and continued process improvement
- Reporting duties and ad hoc tasks as required
Ideal Candidate
To be considered successful in the role, you will possess the following attributes:
- Prior experience with foreign currency and international trade
- Understanding of shipping related finances
- Proven experience in an accounts payable environment
- A keen eye for detail
- High level time management skills & the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
