Our client is a large and well-regarded industry leader, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their supportive team on a permanent basis. This role will involve end to end accounts payable responsibiliries. This opportunity would suit an individual who is passionate about accounts payable and enjoys contributing to a collaborative team environment.
The Responsibilities:
This role will involve the following tasks:
- Completing accounts payable activities including raising purchase orders, processing of invoices and responding to supplier queries.
- Maintain supplier accounts and reconcile supplier statements.
- Investigate any overdue invoices.
- Complete ad hoc tasks on an as needs basis as directed.
- Month-end reconciliations.
- Ensure timely generation of weekly supplier payment files.
- Prepare AP related monthly balance sheet reconciliations and prepare weekly cash outflow forecase for supplier payments.
- Proven experience within an end-to-end accounts payable role for 5+ years.
- A strong knowledge of statement reconciliations.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of month end and year end procedures.
- Experience in mentoring, training and leading a team.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to priotise effectively.
- Proficient with MS Office inclusive of Outlook, advanced Excel and Word.
- Elevated level of accuracy and analytical skills.
- Ideally available for an immediate start.
