About the Role 
Our client is looking for an experienced accounts payable officer to join the team on a permanent basis and lead the accounts payable team. This newly created role is suited to someone who is highly experienced within the accounts payable space and is looking to step up into a team lead role. 

The business is a large national business, and it is very likely that you have heard of them! The company is based in Melbournes South East and offer a hybrid working arrangement. Overall they boast a great working culture where each team member is valued. 

The Responsibilities:
- Managing the accounts payable workflow, being involved in the day-to-day tasks
- Delegating tasks within the team
- Coaching, mentoring and developing the on-shore team of 3 employees. 
- Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis 
- Process payments, including local and international banking system and general banking 
- Month-end reconciliations
-  Bring ideas to the table to help drive process improvement within the function

The successful applicant will have
- At least 5 years experience within an end-to-end accounts payable role / a senior within the accounts payable space
- Experience using a large ERP software system
- Experience mentoring and coaching staff is highly advantageous. 
- Excellent communication skills 
- Is a team player
