This industry leading organisation is seeking an determined & pro-active Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager the role will have a focus on assisting with the Collections of the business, as well as managing some escalations and more complex queries/circumstances.
The responsibilities
- Handling telephone account queries; both internal and external - high volume environments
- Following up on overdue payments with customers efficiently and politely
- Liaising with customers on a day to day basis via email/phone
- Account reconciliations
- Answering questions from the team about escalated issues.
- Weekly/Fortnightly & Monthly Reporting
- Assisting with SOX Compliance
- Managing escalations with customers in a calm and pleasant manner.
- Billing customers
- A true collector, great at following up payments and unactioned actions, escalating point of contact if necessary
- Possess excellent written and communication skills
- Be a team player; able to liaise effectively with other existing team members to maximise productivity
- Strong problem solving skills, an ability to think outside the box.
- Demonstrated prior experience as an experienced AR or Senior AR/Team leader who will be able to take initiative and be the 2IC to the manager
- Able to multi-task & work under pressure.
