Our client a privately owned British retailer forecasted to grow by 20%, with a state of the art Distribution Centre being built to cater for their aggressive growth.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance this person will support in the oversight of the company’s finances, with a critical eye on data anomalies, trends, or deviations. The core responsibilities are:
- Build and formalise the annual budget
- Produce Cash Flow & P&L scenario modelling
- Delivery of customer and competitor analyses, market trends and commentary
- Analysing financial and operational results
- Reporting on customer insights
- Working closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan
- Delivering business cases and business improvement initiatives
The successful candidate will have qualified as a CPA/CA with a similar skillset, with my client's preference to have experience from within a Distribution or Retail background in order to hit the ground running. Other attributes is your ability to business partner with key stakeholders, work as a team player, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, another advantage is that you have mentored a junior as there may be future opportunities to manage a direct report. This role will look very different in a couple of years.
