You'll lead cloud operations across the full lifecycle—from architecture and automation to monitoring, cost optimisation, and compliance—while mentoring junior engineers and embedding cloud best practices across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with a focus on high availability and performance.
- Manage Windows-based environments in both cloud and hybrid setups (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.).
- Develop and maintain HA/DR strategies, backups, and business continuity plans across cloud environments.
- Implement governance frameworks including FinOps, security, and compliance controls.
- Collaborate with DevOps to develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automate provisioning workflows.
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Octopus Deploy) to meet compliance and operational needs.
- Lead cloud monitoring and observability using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.
- Apply security best practices across cloud infrastructure—IAM, encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Mentor junior engineers and support continuous team development.
- Work closely with DevOps, SecOps, and Architecture teams to improve reliability, scalability, and security.
- Participate in incident response and postmortem analysis, driving continuous improvement.
- Monitor and manage service level objectives (SLOs) and agreements (SLAs) to support platform reliability.
Must Have:
- 5+ years' experience in CloudOps, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or SRE roles.
- Strong background in AWS (preferred) and Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience managing Windows infrastructure in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Proven ability to implement governance controls across security, cost, and compliance.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD tools (e.g., Octopus Deploy).
- Deep understanding of observability and cloud monitoring best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.
- Experience working in regulated environments with strict operational standards.
