About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Commercial Analyst to join their Sydney CBD finance team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this role will play a pivotal part in driving business performance through detailed financial analysis, modelling and strategic insights. You will partner closely with executive and operational stakeholders to influence key business decisions and support long-term growth initiatives.
This position offers a blend of financial analysis, strategic planning and business partnering responsibilities within a fast-paced commercial environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across business units - Provide detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis - Deliver monthly performance reporting and strategic insights - Partner with senior stakeholders to support commercial initiatives - Analyse revenue, margin and cost performance drivers - Identify risks and opportunities to improve profitability - Support investment appraisals and capital expenditure analysis - Drive continuous improvement across reporting frameworks
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline - CA/CPA qualified - 5-8+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business analysis - Advanced financial modelling capability - Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement experience - Ability to influence and challenge senior leaders constructively - Commercially focused with strong analytical capability
