The Company
Our client is a well-established, Australian-based manufacturer operating across multiple sites nationally. Known for its strong culture, long staff tenure and collaborative working environment, the business produces premium food-service and packaging products for major national and global customers.
With a lean and capable finance team and a strong focus on continuous improvement, accurate costing and operational performance, the business is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to provide support during a critical period.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the senior finance leadership team, this role will partner closely with divisional and operational stakeholders to deliver commercial insights, financial analysis and performance reporting across manufacturing and distribution operations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with the business and driving practical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted finance partner to divisional and operational leaders, supporting decision-making through high-quality financial insight.
- Prepare and deliver divisional management reporting, including P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance commentary.
- Support product costing, BOM accuracy and margin analysis across manufacturing and traded goods.
- Analyse operational performance drivers including volume, yield, waste, labour and overhead absorption.
- Assist with monthly close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements across reporting, costing and performance tracking.
- Support business cases, capex analysis and ad-hoc commercial projects.
- Partner with shared service functions across finance, IT and operations.
- Contribute to systems and data improvement initiatives where required.
- CA / CPA qualified.
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role within manufacturing, FMCG or a similar operational environment.
- Strong understanding of product costing, BOMs, margins and operational drivers.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance teams.
- Hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working in a lean finance environment.
- Available immediately or at short notice.
