An exiting opportunity currently exists within this market-leading organization to fill a key role within their finance team. They are seeking an experienced financial accountant to take a hands-on role within the company and improve systems and reporting. You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team who are truly passionate about what they do.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintenance of the Group Rebate Schedule and monthly rebate accrual GL postings
- Preparation of all relevant tax calculations and submissions including BAS, FBT and withholding tax as well as assistance with the annual income tax calculations and returns
- Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Fixed asset and intangible asset management
- Maintaining property lease schedule and responsible for IFRS 16 lease accounting
- Assisting with the year end audit process
- Support with the Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting process
- Assistance with monthly senior management and Board reporting
- Other ad hoc finance responsibilities as required
- Be CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Have excellent communication skills, required for engagement with stakeholders across the business
- Possess proficient financial software application skills
- Have a drive to learn, be innovative and maintain a continuous improvement mindset
- Work well in team environment as well as autonomously
