The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting while partnering with multiple areas of the business.
This position sits at the intersection of technical accounting, financial analysis, and commercial support, providing strong exposure to operational teams across marketing, supply chain, and merchandise planning.
The role will suit a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while developing broader commercial finance capability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end close process, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review brand-level P&L reporting with variance analysis against budget
- Partner with operational stakeholders across Marketing, Supply Chain, and Merchandise Planning
- Research and interpret accounting standards and ensure compliance across financial processes
- Support half-year and year-end financial reporting requirements
Manage external audit processes and liaise with auditors
Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making - Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support broader finance projects and team objectives
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data - Confident communicator capable of partnering with non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proactive and solutions-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
CA / CPA qualified or near completion - 3–6 years’ experience in financial accounting or audit
- Experience within a Big 4 / mid-tier firm or listed environment highly regarded
- Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills
