The Role
A newly created position has been created for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the firm’s national Finance function. This fast-paced, hands-on role will see you work closely with business units and finance streams across the country. Acting as a trusted advisor and escalation point, you’ll play a key role in financial reporting, compliance and operational analysis for a market-leading firm.
  
Responsibilities
  • Regularly communicate with and influence business units on compliance and financial insights
  • Provide support across the national finance function including trust accounts, AR, AP and credit control
  • Manage financial accounting processes including month-end reporting and statutory obligations
  • Oversee FBT reporting, BAS and indirect tax requirements
  • Support annual insurance processes and financial audits
  • Generate KPI, budget and performance reports for staff and Partners
  • Monitor debtor compliance and provide management reporting
  • Deliver financial analysis to support operational decision-making
  • Contribute to the broader annual budgeting process
The Candidate
To thrive in this role, you will ideally bring:
  • 4 - 5+ years' experience in a chartered business services environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and CPA or CA accreditation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High-level accuracy managing high-volume data processing
  • Excellent organisational, time management and attention to detail skills
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
