The Role
A newly created position has been created for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the firm’s national Finance function. This fast-paced, hands-on role will see you work closely with business units and finance streams across the country. Acting as a trusted advisor and escalation point, you’ll play a key role in financial reporting, compliance and operational analysis for a market-leading firm.
Responsibilities
- Regularly communicate with and influence business units on compliance and financial insights
- Provide support across the national finance function including trust accounts, AR, AP and credit control
- Manage financial accounting processes including month-end reporting and statutory obligations
- Oversee FBT reporting, BAS and indirect tax requirements
- Support annual insurance processes and financial audits
- Generate KPI, budget and performance reports for staff and Partners
- Monitor debtor compliance and provide management reporting
- Deliver financial analysis to support operational decision-making
- Contribute to the broader annual budgeting process
To thrive in this role, you will ideally bring:
- 4 - 5+ years' experience in a chartered business services environment
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities
- Relevant tertiary qualification and CPA or CA accreditation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- High-level accuracy managing high-volume data processing
- Excellent organisational, time management and attention to detail skills
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
