The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, this role is responsible for delivering key financial reporting outcomes, including statutory accounts, audit coordination, and Board reporting. With a strong technical focus, you’ll play a critical role in lease accounting, asset valuation, and complex financial estimates, while also contributing to broader finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare half-year and full-year statutory financial reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and policies
- Coordinate and manage the external audit process, including analytical review of financial results and supporting Board-level reporting
- Oversee capital project accounting and ensure adherence to fixed asset policies, working closely with Project Managers to provide accurate and timely accounting advice
- Manage lease accounting processes and support the wider finance team in the application of lease-related standards
- Support the month-end and budgeting/forecasting processes, including lease, fixed asset, gift card, and loyalty program accounting
- Assist in preparing commentary on the balance sheet and cash flow, and review key general ledger reconciliations
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives such as control framework reviews, automation projects, and policy updates
- Provide technical accounting support across multiple brands within the group, including guidance on the application of new or evolving accounting standards
The Candidate
The successful applicant will be CA or CPA qualified, with a minimum of five years’ experience in statutory reporting and financial accounting. You will bring a strong understanding of accounting standards, with both technical knowledge and practical application. Proficiency in Excel is essential, and experience with SAP or TM1 will be highly regarded. Strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work autonomously are key!
