About the role:
 
Our client is seeking a commercially astute and highly confident Senior Financial Analyst to join their high-performing finance team based on Sydney's Lower North Shore.
 
As a trusted Finance Business Partner to Sales and Commercial leaders, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue performance, margin improvement and disciplined cost management across the division. Operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, you will bring sharp financial insight, strong commercial acumen and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to Sales and Divisional Leaders 
• Deliver detailed commercial analysis and deep dives to support pricing, promotions and investment decisions 
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and P&L management with a focus on revenue, margin and cost control 
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders 
• Analyse financial and non-financial impacts of commercial initiatives 
• Partner closely with Sales, Finance and Operational teams to drive performance outcomes 
• Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across the division 
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen financial acumen across the business

What We Are Looking For:      

You are a commercially minded finance professional with a strong background in FMCG or large, brand-led organisations. You understand revenue drivers, pricing levers and customer economics — and you enjoy being embedded within the commercial side of the business. 

You bring: 

• CPA or CA qualification
• 5+ years’ experience in a commercially focused finance role
• Proven business partnering experience with the ability to influence at all levels 
• Strong pricing and margin analysis capability 
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills with experience working across large data sets 
• The confidence to challenge assumptions and drive better commercial outcomes 

Most importantly, you are personable, confident and comfortable operating in a high-energy environment. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly and are not afraid to have robust commercial conversations when required.
