About the role:
Join a high-impact organisation operating at the core of Australia's critical infrastructure sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, ex-Big 4 Group Accountant to step into a key role focused on group consolidations and statutory reporting. This 12-month fixed term contract is ideal for someone looking to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
The Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the group consolidation process across a multi-entity structure, playing a pivotal role in supporting monthly reporting and year-end close. You'll also assist in delivering statutory accounts, liaising with auditors, and supporting the broader finance transformation agenda.
- Lead group consolidations across multiple domestic and international entities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS
- Manage audit requirements and support year-end reporting
- Liaise with regional finance teams to validate data and ensure reporting accuracy
- Draft technical accounting memos and support compliance with accounting standards
- Assist with systems/process improvements within the group reporting function
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. You will have previous experience in a Big 4 audit firm or prior exposure to ASX listed reporting. You will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proven ability to work under strict deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities.
