About the Role Join a leading Australian organisation that plays a vital role in connecting people and powering one of the country’s most recognisable industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, Big 4 trained accountant to step into a Group Consolidations role within a complex, ASX-listed environment.
Reporting to the Group Consolidation Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the group consolidation process, contributing to monthly reporting, and assisting with half-year and year-end external reporting deliverables. You’ll gain exposure to senior finance leaders and work closely with teams across treasury, tax, FP&A, and external reporting - making this an ideal first step into industry for someone looking to build a career in group finance.
Key Responsibilities - Support the preparation of group consolidations across multiple domestic and international entities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting note disclosures in accordance with IFRS
- Assist with ASX reporting deliverables including 4D and 4E statements and annual report notes
- Partner with segment finance teams to validate results and ensure reporting accuracy
- Liaise with auditors during half-year and year-end reviews
- Draft technical accounting papers and ensure compliance with group policies and accounting standards
- Provide analytical support for investor presentations, media releases, and board materials
- Identify and support process improvements and systems enhancements within the group reporting function
About You - CA/CPA qualified, with 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience
- Background in Big 4 or mid-tier audit, ideally with exposure to large, listed, or multinational clients
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience in financial reporting or consolidation
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills with confidence engaging cross-functionally
- Exposure to Hyperion or similar consolidation tools advantageous (training provided)
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in building a career in group reporting
