Sharp & Carter has partnered with an award winning property developer that is embarking on several of Australia's largest ever developments. They have recently gone through an exciting period of growth and are looking for a motivated Senior Group Accountant to join their fast paced, high-performing and growing environment.
The Role | Reporting to the Finance Manager
Manage all the designated portfolio related accounting tasks by being responsible for the following:
- Group cash flow management
- Scenario modelling
- Preparing group accounts and presentation of financial statements, reports and analysis
- Managing and preparing month-end reports for all project entities in your portfolio, including analysis of variances to budget across P/L, B/S and Cashflow. Performing general ledger reconciliations, inter-entity loan accounts reconciliations and manual journal entries
- Managing year-end audit process and all compliance requirements, including ATO and SRO audits
- Preparing all required tax returns, activity statements, financial statements and monthly shareholder reporting (including consolidation accounting)
- Managing an Assistant Accountant and provide training to junior staff as required
- Seek to improve financial reporting to support the business in executing new strategic initiatives
CPA/CA qualified and with a minimum of 5 years of prior experience within external audit or a similar position within a commercial organisation, you will possess excellent knowledge of complex consolidation and cashflow reporting.
In addition to a high level of proficiency with MS Excel, you will possess a collaborative, team-first attitude.
