As a Senior HR Business Partner, you'll collaborate with leaders and employees across the business to embed best practice HR strategies, deliver high-quality advice, and manage complex employee relations matters. Your work will directly support our client’s commitment to a safe, respectful, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to promote effective HR business partnering practices
  • Provide timely, accurate advice on HR policies, procedures and relevant legislation
  • Manage complex employee relations matters including performance management, complaints and rehabilitation
  • Support workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership capability building
  • Lead WHS initiatives including the implementation of health and wellbeing programs and WHS compliance activities
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR practices and internal processes
  • Develop and implement tailored HR solutions that align with organisational goals
  • Coach and support managers across a broad range of HR and people matters
  • Lead and support a small, high-performing HR team
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Strong understanding of employment laws (public or private), Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and industry best practices.
  • Ability to provide clear, professional and accurate written and verbal advice on HR matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence, collaborate, and build relationships with managers, employees and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor, coaching managers on employee relations, workforce planning and employee engagement.
  • Experience in developing and implementing fit for purpose HR solutions, policies and programs that align with business needs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace complaints, independent medical examinations and rehabilitation cases.
  • Experience in leading WHS initiatives, such as implementing health and wellbeing programs, maintaining WHS registers, coordinating WHS committees and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation.
  • Proven track record in driving continuous improvement in HR practices, processes and team ways of working.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a high performing team and successfully leading a small team.
