Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to promote effective HR business partnering practices
- Provide timely, accurate advice on HR policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Manage complex employee relations matters including performance management, complaints and rehabilitation
- Support workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership capability building
- Lead WHS initiatives including the implementation of health and wellbeing programs and WHS compliance activities
- Drive continuous improvement in HR practices and internal processes
- Develop and implement tailored HR solutions that align with organisational goals
- Coach and support managers across a broad range of HR and people matters
- Lead and support a small, high-performing HR team
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Strong understanding of employment laws (public or private), Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and industry best practices.
- Ability to provide clear, professional and accurate written and verbal advice on HR matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence, collaborate, and build relationships with managers, employees and senior leadership.
- Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor, coaching managers on employee relations, workforce planning and employee engagement.
- Experience in developing and implementing fit for purpose HR solutions, policies and programs that align with business needs.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace complaints, independent medical examinations and rehabilitation cases.
- Experience in leading WHS initiatives, such as implementing health and wellbeing programs, maintaining WHS registers, coordinating WHS committees and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation.
- Proven track record in driving continuous improvement in HR practices, processes and team ways of working.
- Experience working collaboratively in a high performing team and successfully leading a small team.
