The Role
As the Senior Management Accountant, your role will see you act as key partner for the team, whilst business partnering with teams at site level.
You will collaborate with senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
This role will start ASAP as a contract role to ensure a handover is completed. The role will then evolve into a full time position
Your duties will include:
- Perform day to day account processing for corporate accounts, including general journals, bank reconciliations, and lease accounting.
- Manage all financial aspects for various business units.
- Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations and financial statements, including credit card reconciliations.
- Manage & Maintain Fixed-Asset register - depreciation and valuation adjustments.
- Preparation of monthly P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting with variance analysis.
- Development of financial models for project, lease, and capital investment analysis.
- Support for audits, statutory compliance and tax reporting obligations (AASB, GST, FBT, BAS).
- Enhancement of ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365, Prophix and Power BI reporting tools.
- Support ongoing continuous improvement in financial operations and business performance monitoring.
You will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial. Key skills include:
- 5 years’ experience in a commercial environment - particularly high pace and high volume.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant in a similar role.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data from multiple sources and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in financial and management accounting and advanced excel. Knowledge of tier one financial software (Oracle, Pronto, Dynamics 365 OR SAP)
