I am partnering on a retained assignment & I am looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to take ownership of our global network infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager, Technology, this Perth-based role is key to ensuring network systems – both in-house and cloud – are stable, secure, and high-performing.

You’ll be working across sites in Australia, Namibia, and Canada, supporting operational efficiency and project delivery through robust and scalable network solutions.  Their stack includes Palo Alto Networks SD-WAN, and this technology will remain a core focus for the next 2+ years.
What you’ll be doing:

• Project Delivery – Partner with the IT Architect and Project Manager to design and roll out quality network solutions on time and on budget.
• Advanced Support – Act as the escalation point for network issues across the group, including international operations.
• Performance & Monitoring – Keep a close eye on performance and drive improvements where needed.
• Network Security – Work with our Cyber Security Lead to enforce security standards and protect against threats.
• Documentation – Keep everything up to date – configs, changes, and procedures.
• Team Collaboration – Work closely with internal IT and external vendors to align systems and technologies.
• Continuous Improvement – Keep pace with industry changes and proactively recommend upgrades and enhancements.

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years in a similar role, ideally in the mining or heavy industry sectors
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  
  • Palo Alto SD-WAN (essential)
  • Cisco/Meraki
  • DR/HA environments
  • OSPF/BGP routing
  • Operational Technology (OT) integration
• A proactive, self-driven approach with excellent stakeholder communication skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Commerce, or similar
