Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Duties & Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain payroll operations which includes following policies and procedures, and proactively identifying areas for process improvement
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of employee timesheets
- Ongoing systems administration work to ensure efficiencies and upgrades, to meet business requirements and regulatory standards
- Interpretation of various / relevant EBA's, awards and entitlements
- Calculations of payroll tax, superannuation and work cover
- Respond to any employees queries and provide timely solutions
- Assisting the team to work together to achieve common goals to a high standard
- Additional tasks to assist the Payroll Manager and broader team
Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
- A keen eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
- Analytical mindset and ability to confidently work autonomously
- Knowledge of interpreting multiple EBAs and awards
- Forward thinking mindset and desire to continuously upgrade systems for efficiencies
