Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Duties & Responsibilities 
Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain payroll operations which includes following policies and procedures, and proactively identifying areas for process improvement
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of employee timesheets
  • Ongoing systems administration work to ensure efficiencies and upgrades, to meet business requirements and regulatory standards
  • Interpretation of various / relevant EBA's, awards and entitlements
  • Calculations of payroll tax, superannuation and work cover
  • Respond to any employees queries and provide timely solutions
  • Assisting the team to work together to achieve common goals to a high standard
  • Additional tasks to assist the Payroll Manager and broader team

Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar position along with the following skills and attributes:
  • Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
  • Analytical mindset and  ability to confidently work autonomously
  • Knowledge of interpreting multiple EBAs and awards
  • Forward thinking mindset and desire to continuously upgrade systems for efficiencies
