The department is embarking on a project to modernise its current ERP platform from ECC6 to S/4HANA. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the foundational planning to support a technical uplift that will provide:
- some initial improvements to processes;
- reduce technical debt;
- reduce current risks;
- will provide platform for future state;
- minimise business disruption; and
- A preliminary step towards future comprehensive transformation.
- Definition, documentation and successful completion of a complex project ensuring that project, quality, communications, benefits, change control and risk management processes are maintained and effectively applied to address project and Departmental needs and opportunities.
- Collaborating, liaising and negotiating with internal stakeholders, including the Project Executive and Project Board members, Department Directors, Functional leads, other Department staff, and external project stakeholders, co-ordinating the delivery of the project activities.
- Building and managing the ERP project team across a diverse range of functions to undertake planning, design, implementation, training and maintenance of agreed deliverables, contractual and financial obligations, ensuring project deliverables are completed within planned constraints.
- Managing the progress of the project including the establishment of performance indicators and the maintenance of project records to meet requests for information and for statistical and planning purposes.
- Ensuring compliance with Department project management methodology, legislative, industrial and other influences on the project.
- Overseeing operational aspects of the project including the preparation of reports, planning documentation, communications, and tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the project
- Acting as the escalation point for risks and issues identified throughout the project and proactively co-ordinating these; including reporting, mitigation, rectification strategies and activities.
- Proven experience in the delivery of successful SAP ERP implementations, within large and complex organisations.
- Experience with projects delivering uplift from EEC6 to SAP S/4HANA.
- Professional Experience – Minimum of 10 years of project management experience with at least 5 years in SAP ERP implementations or similar.
- Proven ability to manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Experience with Prince2, Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Ability to work autonomously to deliver against agreed outcomes.
