About the Role
An established organisation is seeking a skilled System Administrator (Vulnerability Specialist) to join its Cyber Security team. Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security, you will be responsible for strengthening IT infrastructure security by delivering vulnerability remediation, patching, and system upgrades across a diverse range of platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Remediate and mitigate cyber security vulnerabilities through patching, configuration changes, and system upgrades.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of vulnerability remediation, including planning, change control, testing, and implementation.
  • Develop and implement automated patching strategies aligned with the ACSC Essential 8 framework.
  • Deploy automated systems to deliver operating system and application patches to servers, workstations, and IoT devices.
  • Apply group policy, Intune policy, and scripting solutions to remediate configuration vulnerabilities across multiple environments.
About You
You have extensive experience in vulnerability remediation and system administration across multiple platforms, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You thrive in complex environments and can meet critical deadlines while engaging with multiple stakeholders.
Highly Regarded Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Operations, System Administration, or similar technical roles.
  • Proven ability to deploy, configure, and maintain a wide range of IT infrastructure, including Windows Servers, Active Directory, SQL clusters, Commvault, Group Policy, VMware ESX clusters, mobile devices, and IoT devices.
  • Experience configuring and managing Intune, Azure Update Manager, and server monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
  • Recent experience in vulnerability management within large enterprise, corporate, or government settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure.
