I'm partnering with a well-established National Managed Services Provider who are continuing to invest in their infrastructure and cloud capability. As part of this, they're looking to add an experienced Systems Engineer to sit across Level 2 and Level 3, supporting both their service operations and project delivery.
This hire fills a gap between a strong Level 1 team and senior project resources, and will play a key role in stabilising escalations while supporting the business's shift toward Azure and modern Microsoft platforms.
The Role:
This is a hands-on infrastructure role with variety. You'll act as a senior technical escalation point, take ownership of complex issues across multiple client environments, and contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects as they come through the pipeline.
While the current project workload is steady rather than heavy, the expectation is that this person can flex between BAU support and project work, and provide technical leadership within an MSP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- L2/L3 escalation and complex issue resolution
- Support and deliver infrastructure and cloud projects
- Work across on-prem, hybrid, and Azure environments
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Own incidents end-to-end in an MSP setting
- Windows Server, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Storage, backup, and recovery
- Microsoft Azure (administration and migrations)
- Microsoft 365, including tenant migrations
- Intune and AutoPilot exposure preferred
- MSP experience highly regarded
- Experienced infrastructure engineer (L2/L3)
- Comfortable working autonomously
- Strong troubleshooting and client-facing skills
- Leadership mindset without formal people management
- Hybrid working with work-from-home flexibility
- Clear career progression plan aligned to skills and experience
- Regular performance and development reviews
- On-site parking available at the office
- Supportive team environment with long-term growth focus
