Brisbane/Ipswich | Hybrid | 6-Month Contract | Commencing April
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer/Senior Technical Specialist to step into a 6-month contract role (initial term) commencing April.
This is a hands-on senior infrastructure role within a large, complex enterprise environment. You will provide high-level technical leadership across Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, Citrix and enterprise monitoring platforms.
This role is suited to someone who can step in quickly, stabilise, optimise and drive continuous improvement across core infrastructure services.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead technical delivery across Windows client and server environments
- Manage and optimise Active Directory (multi-forest)
- Maintain and enhance Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) environments
- Support Citrix Virtual Desktops and Apps
- Oversee SolarWinds and SIEM platforms (Splunk / Sentinel)
- Provide senior escalation support
- Drive infrastructure uplift and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain technical standards and documentation
- Participate in after-hours and on-call support where required
- 5+ years in a senior infrastructure / technical specialist role
- Strong Windows Server administration capability
- Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Services
- VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Azure cloud services experience
- Citrix VDI experience
- SolarWinds and SIEM (Splunk / Sentinel)
- Cisco networking knowledge
- Strong documentation and governance experience
- Ability to step into complex environments with minimal ramp-up
ITIL, Microsoft, VMware or Citrix certifications. Endpoint Manager / Intune experience highly regarded.
