About the Position
This key management position will lead the Design and Technical Services Unit to provide professional design services, which includes civil engineering, landscape architecture, and municipal engineering including water and waste water infrastructure). This role will provide expert specialist advice and participate in multi-disciplinary teams to support organisational projects and inform decision making from a design and technical services perspective. Key to success in this role will be achieving cost effective technical, engineering and project outcomes. This includes developing processes, procedures, frameworks, specifications, consultant and contractor briefs and tender design packages, to enable required design services to be provided by specialist contractors and consultants.

About the Person
 With a diverse portfolio we are seeking an experienced engineering design leader who has a demonstrated passion for developing your team. With strong people management and communication skills, you can demonstrate experience in planning and then executing on strategy, bringing your team along for the journey. A degree-qualified civil engineer and Registered as a Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), you will bring a collaborative and engaging leadership style that compliments your technical grounding and expertise. You look for ways to facilitate continuous improvement, whilst being focused on providing a high level of customer service to stakeholders.
