About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee all site operations at a regional location based in Victoria’s Northwest. As Site Manager, you will ensure a safe workplace, manage resources effectively, meet production targets, control costs, and provide excellent customer service. This role also involves supporting and developing site staff, managing inventory, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety: Ensure compliance with OH&S and environmental legislation and company policies. Promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- People Management: Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to staff.
- Operational Excellence: Manage manufacturing processes, inventory, and site budgets.
- Growth and Asset Renewal: Manage and deliver the site Capex program to enhance site standards and efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing a team within a food or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Principles and experience in planning and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop employees in a production environment.
- Excellent communication, engagement skills, high attention to detail, efficient problem-solving approach, and willingness to embrace change.
- Qualification in Engineering, Science or Food Technology desired but not essential.
