Key Responsibilities
- Create Solution Architectures using Enterprise Architecture standards, patterns and building blocks.
- Create Solution Designs in accordance with Solution Architectures.
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders, enterprise and solution architects, portfolio managers, technology SMEs (and other) to assist in validation of business problems/opportunities against established Technology roadmaps and delivery portfolios.
- Ensure solutions align with Enterprise Architecture principles, guidelines and standards.
- Evaluate commercial solutions and prepare criteria, requirements and analysis of solutions.
- Provide advice on technical aspects of development and integration and ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Solution Design/Architect in a software development / delivery environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical designs and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, enterprise/domain architects, and business analysts to define solution architectures.
- Experience in networking principles and experience with VMWARE and Linux.
- Understanding of security best practices.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS) and infrastructure services (mix of cloud and on-premise and moving from on premise to cloud).
- Experience in Government sector.
- Relevant Architecture certifications i.e. TOGAF.
