As the Systems Accountant, you will be expected to understand operational finance functions and reporting teams and analyse needs from different areas of the business to help identify problems and propose solutions. The role requires full involvement from concept and requirements through specification, development, testing and release. You will form a vital part of our software team and will contribute to its culture of happiness and success. The duties of the role will include, but not be limited to the following.
  • Lead process and system improvements across Finance with focus on month-end
  • Lead and troubleshoot the implementation of Microsoft Business Central
  • Provide effective finance business partnering support to key stakeholders
  • Liaising heavily with business stakeholders, especially within the numerous Finance teams of the business
  • Working closely with Delivery Teams (Product Managers, Operations, Software Developers and Delivery Leads)
  • Contributing to the team’s understanding and prioritisation during planning meetings
  • Using your analytical skills to support production issues
  • Facilitating and participating in team planning sessions
  • Communicating constantly with key stakeholders, teammates and other people throughout the company
  • Delivery of ad hoc projects and improvements as required
 The succesful candidate will be:
  • Be passionate about the world of Finance, Accounting and underlying systems and processes
  • Have demonsrated experience in delivering end-to-end Microsoft Business Central implementation
  • Be approachable and willing to collaborate with others where necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to run workshops and to communicate effectively with Product Managers, Developers and other stakeholders across the organisation
  • Ability to translate business needs into system or product requirements with clear, concise and testable user stories & process flows
  • Ability to identify and communicate requirement dependencies, issues or risks
  • Desirable - Prior experience as a Business Analyst
