My client has more than 20 locations and over 800 staff work in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver health and disability outcomes. They are a responsive and agile community health service, providing a wide range of healthcare, social support, disability, and welfare services for all members of the community.

Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Systems, this role is responsible for managing the provision of systems across the organisation as required, including process and continuous improvement and system configuration.

The Systems Manager will support the integration of systems and the development and implementation of their wider digital strategy.
This position is pivotal in providing extensive expertise and technical oversight of systems and applications including Client Management Systems (CMS), ensuring the organisation stays abreast of latest technological
advances in the selection of suitable systems and building interfaces where needed to connect systems. This position will also oversee optimal use of systems, implementation of functional upgrades and ensure that users are trained for optimal utilisation of existing systems and tools, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous learning and improvement.

Key Experience Required:

• Working closely with the key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment and realisation of technology and business objectives.
• Provide technical expertise to support the Director Business Intelligence & Systems in the development and implementation of the Digital Strategy.
• Take the lead in managing and supporting complex digital initiatives across the organisation.
• Providing expert technical knowledge and support in the implementation of digital initiatives.
• Developing and executing appropriate plans, projects, and strategies for digital transformation initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise on Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to stakeholders across the organisation.
• Identify and implement opportunities to implement interoperability Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to increase efficiencies.
• Evaluate systems for efficiency and continued relevance, and work in partnership with the business to identify integration opportunities or requirements for alternative solutions.
• Analyse end-to-end management of systems, managing complexities within BAU and special projects, working with functional and service leads and with external partners and vendors where applicable.
• Assist with designing and transforming the current systems landscape, with awareness of emerging trends and exploring technologies such as cloud-based tools, artificial intelligence, and robotics to enhance processes, reduce costs, enable opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Support the business to analyse business/functional requirements and objectives, perform gap analysis, and provide recommendations and solutions.

Desirable Experience:
  • Understanding of Community Health funding models and reporting obligations
  • Contemporary knowledge of systems and processes in health services
  • Experience in Application Service delivery within Disability, Health or Hospital environment
  • Knowledge of specialised applications used within a Health Services Sector
