A large-scale transformation program is underway, modernising a critical system that supports frontline operations and digital services across the agency.As part of this uplift, we’re looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead the test function across multiple domains, working closely with a tier-one implementation partner and internal ICT teams.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of all test planning, coordination, and execution activities across the program. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in both test strategy and delivery – with a key focus on automation, DevOps alignment, and quality assurance across cloud-based platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and execution of a full test strategy across all environments
- Planning and managing functional, integration, regression, UAT, smoke, security, DR, and performance testing
- Driving test automation initiatives (Playwright preferred) and CI/CD integration
- Coordinating test cycles and schedules with clear entry/exit criteria
- Overseeing defect management processes and system configurations
- Producing executive-level test summary reports and risk profiles
- Working collaboratively with solution partners, business SMEs, and ICT stakeholders
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior test management roles, ideally on high-impact public sector or enterprise-scale projects
- Strong capability in test strategy, governance, and automation across multiple test domains
- Experience with Azure DevOps and integration of automated/manual testing workflows
- Proficient with security testing tools and practices (e.g. OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite)
- Deep knowledge of automation frameworks (Playwright highly desirable)
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strategic mindset with a collaborative, resilient and proactive approach to delivery
