About the role 
A leading retailer are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant with expertise in US tax regulations to join their dynamic finance team. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with tax laws and optimizing tax strategies. 

The responsibilities
Reporting into a Group Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US tax laws.
  • Analyze financial statements and other documents to ensure all tax-related information is complete and accurate.
  • Identify and implement tax-saving strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax legislation and advise management on the impact of new laws on the business.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to manage audits and resolve any tax-related issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper tax accounting and reporting.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff on tax-related matters
The successful applicant will have 
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. 3-5 years exposure to a similar position within a relevant, project-based industry is desirable. You will be able to work cohesively within a team and autonomously. There is a travel requirement for this role.
