Reporting to the Tax Manager - Direct Tax, you will join a collaborative team of 3 where you will be supported and developed, your day to day responsibilities will include some of the following tasks, however the right attitude with a willingness to learn is key in this role:
- Managing the allocated tax portfolio and providing business support by offering high-quality tax advice and resolving tax related matters
- Support business leaders by providing high-quality tax advice and resolving tax related matters
- Liaise with external advisors and ATO on tax matters
- Adhere to guidelines, meet specified deadlines and effectively complete allocated tasks to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with all relevant taxation legislation
- Complete assigned compliance obligations and external reporting obligations
- Lead and participate in multiple projects
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies, processes and controls
As the desired candidate you will have qualified as either a CA/CPA and currently working for either a Big 4 firm or mid tier chartered firm, alternatively working for a global complex business specialising in Tax. You will have the desire to learn and be mentored by the best, have exceptional communication both verbal and written with strong attention to detail and time management skills. You will enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the passion and energy to succeed.
