A leading global travel organisation is seeking an experienced Temporary Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large casual workforce of up to 2,000 employees. This role suits a hands-on payroll expert who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings deep technical capability, and can confidently lead a small team to deliver timely and compliant payroll outcomes.
You will manage all aspects of payroll processing, compliance, superannuation, reporting and reconciliations. Proficiency with Micropay is an absolute must, while experience with Deputy is highly desirable. You’ll also partner closely with People & Culture and operational leaders to ensure payroll accuracy across rostering, timesheets and award interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll for up to 2,000 casual employees both New Zealand and Australian pay
- Lead, mentor and support a payroll team of two
- Ensure compliance across awards, taxation, superannuation and payroll legislation
- Manage reconciliations, reporting, audits and month-end requirements
- Partner with P&C and operations to resolve queries and improve processes
- Will be able to hit the ground running
- Extensive experience managing high-volume payrolls
- Micropay proficiency (mandatory)
- Exposure to Deputy highly regarded
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding a small team
- Excellent communication, accuracy and problem-solving abilities
- $90–$100 per hour + super (depending on experience)
