Role Overview:
Our Client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Transport Logistics Supervisor to join our team. The Transport Logistics Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing our transportation operations, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of our products to customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervision and Coordination:
    • Oversee the day-to-day transportation operations, including route planning, vehicle scheduling, and driver management.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of cooking oils and related products to customers.
  2. Fleet Management:
    • Manage and maintain the transportation fleet, including vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Optimize fleet utilization and efficiency to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
    • Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for drivers and staff.
  4. Supplier and Carrier Relationships:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with transportation partners to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation services.
  5. Performance Management:
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to transportation operations.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization to enhance overall performance.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following:
  • Sound knowledge of supervisory principles, staff management, and review systems
  • Understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and required accreditations and standards
  • Maintain accurate records related to operations, maximize run scheduling, performance, and efficiencies through preferred systems and programs.
  • Ensure vehicles, assets, and staff meet company standards and communicate effectively with customers, management, and drivers.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, resolve issues with staff and customers, and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Promote and reinforce safety for personnel and fleet and prepare necessary information for meetings.
