A national transport provider is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee operations across two Brisbane locations (South and East/Inner‑East).

This is a hybrid, hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who moves fast, adapts quickly, and thrives in a non‑BAU environment.
You’ll work across both sites on a day‑on/day‑off rhythm (flexible based on operational need), supporting contractors, fleet activity and inbound freight. The role offers autonomy, impact and visibility, with responsibility for performance, safety, compliance and service outcomes.

What you’ll be doing
• Managing an outsourced transport model across vans, small rigids, large rigids and B‑Doubles
• Leading, supporting and performance‑managing a contractor workforce
• Partnering closely with third‑party providers to drive service and operational outcomes
• Setting KPIs, monitoring performance and addressing non‑compliance
• Overseeing onboarding and ensuring contractors have what they need to deliver
• Ensuring strong safety, CoR and compliance standards across all transport activity
• Supporting daily operations including inbound freight and site coordination
• Managing invoicing, reporting, SAP updates and operational admin
• Building strong relationships with the state leadership team (dotted‑line reporting)
