Our client is a large, global leader with over 4000 staff in Australia and supports major clients in the Energy sectors. They are seeking a Treasury Officer/ Accounts Officer to join their Melbourne CBD team and offer 3 days work from home! The ideal candidate will be proactive, compliance-focused and have 3-5 years’ experience in treasury operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Treasury Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Daily cash positioning and funding across multiple bank accounts
• Managing the corporate card program (issuing, cancelling, limits, spot-checking transactions)
• Preparing and updating daily cash flow actuals and forecasts
• Processing EFT and FX payments (spot rate only – no complex hedging or investing)
• Coordinating with the offshore team for transaction processing and month-end reconciliations
• Managing the shared Treasury mailbox – triaging and resolving internal queries
• Providing support to sites on banking, POS and EFTPOS issues
• Occasional interstate travel (WA, QLD, SA) to deliver on-site compliance training & cash audits.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a proactive and compliance-focused treasury professional with:
• 3–5 years’ experience in treasury, banking or cash operations
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on, collaborative attitude
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, experience working with offshore teams is highly regarded
• Ability to travel interstate as required
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX and POS systems would be beneficial.
