The Opportunity

Sharp & Carter are partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit an experienced Trust Accounts Officer on a permanent full-time basis. This role sits within a large, collaborative finance team and has executive guidance from senior finance members. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trust accounts officer who thrives working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and is eager to contribute to growing finance team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate trust accounting records and resolve issues promptly.
• Process all trust transactions, including transfers, receipts, payments, refunds, unclaimed funds, and dormant balances.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly trust reconciliations.
• Keep trust accounting procedures up to date.
• Support the Trust Accounting Manager with audit preparation and compliance.
• Manage the opening, closing, and reconciliation of trust investment accounts.
• Stay current with trust accounting regulations across relevant jurisdictions.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in trust accounting in a professional services environment 
• Strong skills across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated analytical ability, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capability.
