The Role

You will be responsible for leading teams and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities across shifts. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, accuracy, and safety within their distribution centre. A key element will be maintaining accurate records, preventing discrepancies and shortages while optimising inventory turnover. Forecasting demand and ensuring products are readily available to meet customer needs, as well as collaboration with other departments, including procurement, logistics, and quality control.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing clear direction, training, and support.
  • Coordinate and oversee the receiving, storing, and dispatching of products, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Monitor and maintain quality and safety standards in line with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and inventory control.
  • Continuously improve warehouse processes to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold cleanliness and organization standards (weekly, monthly and yearly stocktake conducted).
  • Handle any issues or discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
Successful Applicants will Hold:
  • Previous experience (ideally 3-5 years) in a supervisory role within a warehouse, preferably in the food FMCG, or pharmaceuticals industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and technology.
  • Have an understanding of 5S Process. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
