The Opportunity:Following a recent structural evolution, an exciting opportunity has emerged for an accomplished Senior Site General Manager to take the reins of this complex manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee all aspects of site operations including production, safety, quality, finance, people and culture — with full P&L accountability. As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will help shape business-wide strategy and drive best-practice performance from the factory floor to the boardroom. About the Role: Reporting to a key national operations executive and working closely with cross-functional business leaders, the Group Engineering Manager will: Lead the engineering strategy and capital project execution across a large-scale, multi-site manufacturing network. Oversee a $100M+ capital expenditure program, including major site upgrades, infrastructure builds, and M&A due diligence activities. Act as the senior engineering authority across the group, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing sign-off on high-risk systems. Drive consistency in asset management, preventative maintenance, and technical standards across multiple operations. Guide and influence a network of divisional and site-based engineering professionals, ensuring alignment in engineering performance and project delivery. Support environmental compliance and drive resource efficiency initiatives, including energy, water, and waste reduction. Champion innovation and modernisation of systems, including the digital transformation of engineering and maintenance processes. Ideal experience includes: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or a related discipline), providing a strong technical foundation for the scope and complexity of the role. Senior engineering leadership experience within large-scale food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environments. Demonstrated success delivering large capital works programs across multiple sites or regions. Strong technical governance experience with the ability to ensure compliance across complex plant infrastructure and high-risk systems. Proven success leading engineering strategy and transformation across dispersed teams in complex operational settings. Ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and lead through change.
