The OpportunityAn open opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join a supportive organisation on a contract basis with a start date in the New Year. This role will be to assist with the management of the banking/allocations team based in Newcastle and helping detail with escalations, ensure the banking function operates smoothly on a day to day basis as well as liasing with key stakeholders. You will be supporting a stable but loyal team, and Position Details & Responsibilities Lead, develop, and manage a team responsible for banking and cash allocation processes. Oversee daily cash flow activities, including the timely and accurate allocation of customer payments to appropriate accounts. Ensure the reconciliation of bank statements and manage cash balances for multiple accounts. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including finance, operations, and customers) to resolve any issues related to cash allocations or banking discrepancies. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive team performance and improve efficiency. Ensure that all cash and banking transactions are accurately recorded in the financial system. Provide leadership and support in handling escalated issues and maintaining a high level of customer service. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits, as necessary. The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong background in banking, cash management, and allocations. Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team. Strong knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and relevant regulations. Experience with ERP systems and banking platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Happy to roll up sleeves and assist with day-to-day tasks.
