About the Business This role is with an Australian based, high-growth technology company at the cutting edge of complex engineering and advanced manufacturing. This executive-level role is central to the success of the business, driving the efficient and effective delivery of multi-million dollar, multi-disciplinary projects. About the Role As the Program Director, you'll report directly to the General Manager and lead a core production team, project, program and purchasing team. This is a strategic and operational leadership role focused on driving predictability, quality, and efficiency across a portfolio of complex projects. Key Responsibilities: Program Leadership & Governance: Establish and continuously improve project and program management governance frameworks tailored to a complex, multi-project environment. Systems Integration & Delivery: Ensure cohesive delivery as the systems integrator for multi-disciplinary projects, integrating design, engineering, and production phases effectively. Resource Optimisation: Oversee workforce demand management, implementing systematic approaches to resource allocation, managing capacity, and optimising throughput of projects across technical and creative teams. Risk & Change Management: Act as the organisational authority on project risk, issue management, and the development of clear frameworks for design freezes and change management. Standardisation & Quality: Lead initiatives for component and process standardisation and establish clear, consistent definitions of "done" for every project phase. Client & Stakeholder Management: Foster long-term, trusted executive-level client relationships, ensuring profitable and fair engagement. Mandatory Experience & Skills: 10+ years of program/project management in complex engineering and manufacturing environments, demonstrating the ability to balance both creative and technical requirements. Proven experience in estimating and delivering multi-million-dollar projects on time and on budget, with excellent client and external partner relationship skills. Demonstrated success in implementing systematic project management approaches and leading standardisation/process improvement initiatives. Expertise in interfacing with C-Suite stakeholders and managing multiple interdependent projects concurrently. Advanced project/program management certification (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent).
