About the role

An opportunity has become available for a Finance officer to join a reputable and culture-focused organisation in a full-time contract for an initial 6-month period with the review for extension.

Reporting to the Finance manager, you will be responsible for providing full function financial support to the department while ensuring the team meet all financial management requirements. The role will allow you to perform end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including auditing, month-end processed, debt management, reconciliations etc.


Duties – Key responsibilities

This role also requires participation in activities as a team member, as you will collaborate closely with the finance team. Along with your previous experience, you will have a significant knowledge of accounting and financial tasks, and pride yourself on attention to detail.
Key duties are, but not limited to:
  • Full function accounts payable and receivable support.
  • Assist with the collation of working papers for external auditing and auditing periods.
  • Support EOM and EOY financial processes, including preparing monthly accruals and reconciliations of the general ledger, generating recurring and repayment documents and preparing monthly reports.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accounts related documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain various registers and reporting activities.
Skills and Experience

As the suitable candidate for this position, you will hold prior relevant experience and will have strong critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills. In addition, you will also:
  • High attention to detail;
  • Mature minded and able to work independently
  • Flexible work approach to meet the varying demands of an ever-changing and high volume accounting environment;
  • Positive and friendly work-ethic;
  • High computer literacy with experience using TechOne or SAP.
