The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the General Manager - Finance will take ownership of the financial performance across the national operation. Responsible for safeguarding cashflow, managing banking relationships, dealing with the day to day and help with investment decision making you will play a central role in enabling sustainable growth.
This is a high-impact, end-to-end finance leadership role suited to a commercially minded leader who enjoys balancing the strategic with the practical. You'll oversee a capable finance team, strengthen core processes, and build on the financial discipline and visibility required to support a complex, asset-heavy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own cashflow management and working capital optimisation to ensure operational and strategic priorities are balanced.
- Lead and develop a small, established finance team.
- Manage key banking relationships to support growth, stability and capital requirements.
- Partner with the CEO and ELT to drive profitability, operational efficiency and commercial performance.
- Ensure robust budgeting, forecasting, risk management, statutory reporting and compliance frameworks.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to the CEO and Board, providing clear insight and analysis.
- Drive system and process improvements, including optimising the use of Pronto to support business needs.
You are a qualified CA/CPA accountant, proven finance leader ideally with a solid grounding in capital-intensive, industrial environments. You can see the bigger picture without losing sight of the day-to-day fundamentals, and you bring a calm, influential leadership style that builds confidence and clarity.
