The Role
The Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions. This role provides high-quality financial and analytical support to the CFO, contributing to timely financial reporting, sound financial management, and informed business decision-making. Your role will include (but not be limited to):

  • End-to-end management of Accounts Payable, including accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and employee expense reimbursements
  • Administration and compliance of statutory obligations, including BAS, PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax and related filings
  • Provide support to, and oversight of, fortnightly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines
  • Prepare and post month-end journals and perform detailed Balance Sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
  • Assist with end-of-month invoicing processes and contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyse monthly Profit & Loss statements and cashflow reports, providing insights to support business decision-making
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis comparing actual results to budget
  • Collaborate with the CFO, project teams, and Executive Management Team on ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and improvement initiatives as required
The Successful Applicant
Degree-qualified in Accounting with strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Must have proven experience working with payroll, with a solid understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements. High level of computer literacy, strong Excel skills, and experience using Xero accounting software, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems. Highly organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
