Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their accounting team in a Business Services focused accounting role. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the finalisation of month-end and year-end accounts, including reconciliations, journals and reporting
- Assist in annual budget and quarterly reforecast process
- Cashflow reporting and tracking
- Assist with the preparation and lodgment of BAS’ and other statutory reporting requirements
- Prepare tax return/fund preparation
- Financial statement preparation
- Work collaboratively across both finance and operations in driving process improvement initiatives
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required
The successful applicant will have
- 2 years of experience in Assistant Accountant role
- Experience with tax return preparation
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax
- Degree qualified
- Commenced or commencing CA or CPA
- Excellent communication skills
- Self motivated and willingness to learn
