Join a leading FMCG business where you'll be given the opportunity to commence you finance business partnering career. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the organisation’s fixed asset accounting processes and ensuring the accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of capital and leased assets, while supporting compliance with accounting standards and internal asset management policies.
Partnering with business units across operations, you'll also provide critical insights into capital expenditure, maintain strong governance over assets, and support the strategic management of CAPEX and projects. You will be responsible for but not limited to the following.
- Partner with senior stakeholders on project performance
- Prepare and analyse fixed asset reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of CAPEX spend and general ledger reconciliations.
- Manage accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and asset transfers.
- Partner with business units to request capital budgets and manage project-level spend throughout the year.
- Support capital project administration, including project openings, closings, and amendments.
- Partner with stakeholders across Operations to enhance processes, improve cost controls, and strengthen benchmarks.
- Work collaboratively across the business to ensure best-practice fixed asset management.
- Provide business partnering to deliver capital expenditure insights that drive improved reporting and analysis.
- Consolidate capital project forecasts and cash flow requirements across all business units.
- Ensure accurate accounting of assets
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards (preferred)
- High-performance mindset with a drive to deliver results
- Adaptable, resilient, and committed to creating value
- Strong communication, organisational and written skills
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Advanced computer skills
- Current driver’s license
