An established organisation is seeking an Accounts Officer to support their finance function on a part-time, temporary basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Accounts Officer will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The position requires strong technical capability, attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks independently.
This role is well suited to a candidate who enjoys hands-on accounts work and thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- General ledger coding and journal entries
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Invoicing and allocation of receipts
- Maintaining accurate and compliant financial records
- Assisting with month-end processes as required
- Supporting the finance team with general accounting duties
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in an Accounts Officer role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Demonstrated experience with general ledger coding and reconciliations
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills and a professional, reliable approach
