Our client is a global market leader and are experiencing large growth. They are also currently rolling out a new system, so it is a very exciting time to join the business. As the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will have direct reports and be responsible for managing the accounts payable function. The company is located in Western Sydney and they allow flexible working conditions (3 days from office, 2 days from home)
Working within their modern offices, the role will suit a highly motivated and driven individual to mentor the team to success. The company will also provide a lot of support to the successful candidate.
Position Description
Your daily tasks will include but not be limited to the following duties;
- Leading a team of Accounts Payable Officers
- Be the Accounts Payable point of contact with key stakeholders
- Mentor and develop team performance
- Liaising with suppliers and perform month-end reconciliations
- GL coding, payment execution and journalling
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing supplier
- Cleaning up legacy systems and maintaining BAU
The successful applicant will the following:
- Strong accounts payable management experience
- Non-merchandise related experience will be highly desirable, including experience with GL coding, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong month-end and year-end reporting experience
- Experience with system rollout projects would be desirable
