About the role/company
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a industry-leading company and manage the accounts payable function of the business. You will have 2 direct reports and be responsible for the end to end accounts payable process as well as assisting with current system/process improvement projects. The business has a friendly team culture, and provides lots of support. They are currently working 2 days from the office and 3 days from home. 

The responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Shared Service Manager, you will act as a mentor for your further development and growth, the role will include but not be limited to:
  • Managing a team of Accounts Payable Officers to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
  • Preparation, allocation of costs to correct G/L accounts, and payment of weekly bills
  • Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliation
  • Provide relevant information on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to support reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Supporting the transition to a new procurement invoice system/project work
  • Streamlining AP processes and process improvement.
  • Partner with and assist the wider shared service team.
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Strong proven management experience in Accounts Payable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with purchase orders and GL coding. 
  • Hands on approach and ability to learn and understand how the department currently operates
  • Comes from an accounting background
  • SAP Concur experience highly desirable
